Services that are quoted separately

Hosting and website work are two different things. Keeping them separate is what allows the hosting price to stay at $99 a year.

WordPress-to-static conversion

If your site is currently WordPress, we start with a free assessment to see whether it can be converted and what work that would take. Where conversion needs substantial work, we quote it before anything begins.

About the free assessment

Ongoing website changes

New pages, redesigns, content rewrites, SEO, and custom functionality are website maintenance rather than hosting. Hosting a site with us does not include this work.

What hosting support covers

A note on what this is not. This is managed static website hosting. It is not conventional WordPress, PHP, or database hosting, and it does not include email hosting or domain registration. Your email provider and your registrar stay exactly where they are.

Backup & recovery

Whenever we publish a new version of your website, we create a verified recovery copy of exactly what went live. Recovery is version-based rather than a nightly job: a copy is made when something changes, so a recovery point always corresponds to a real version of your site.

We retain previous recovery versions for at least 90 days, and we always keep a recoverable copy of your current website even if it has not changed during that period. If something goes wrong, we can restore an available previous version for you as part of your hosting service — ask support and we will handle it.

Recovery protects against problems with your website — a bad change, a broken publish, or a lost project. It is not a substitute for keeping your own copy of anything you consider irreplaceable.

Billing, renewal, and cancellation

Hosting is billed once a year. Renewal is automatic so your website does not go dark because an invoice was missed, and you can turn that off whenever you like.

Cancelling

You can cancel automatic renewal at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal — it does not take your website offline. Your site stays hosted through the end of the period you have already paid for.

If you change your mind

Your first hosting purchase has a 30-day money-back period, which applies to the hosting charge. Separately quoted work such as a WordPress-to-static conversion, migration, or other development is billed on its own and is not automatically covered by the hosting money-back period; how those charges are handled is set out in the quote before work begins.

If an annual subscription renews automatically and you did not intend to continue, you can ask us to cancel and refund that renewal within 7 days of the renewal charge.

If a payment fails

A failed renewal does not take your website offline that day. There is a 30-day grace period from the renewal due date, during which your site stays hosted and we will make reasonable attempts to contact you so you can resolve the payment or arrange a transition. If the account remains unpaid after that, we may suspend the website.

If a website is suspended for nonpayment, we retain the site files for a further 60 days, after which they become eligible for permanent deletion. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before anything is permanently deleted.

The sequence, in short

Renewal due → 30-day grace period → possible suspension → 60-day retention period → files become eligible for permanent deletion.

Recovery copies follow that same timeline. While your account is active we keep them as described above; once a suspended website reaches the end of the retention period, its recovery copies become eligible for permanent deletion along with the site files.

These are our working commercial policies. The binding version will live in our Terms of Service, which is not yet in force.
